When and where is the wedding taking place?
The traditional wedding will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at our family's personal residence 94 Lagos Ave, Accra, Ghana at 10:30AM GMT. The white wedding ceremony is on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana at 3:30PM GMT.
Is there a gift registry?
If you wish to give something, a contribution towards our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Guests are invited to wear all-white attire for the traditional wedding. For the white wedding, please dress in black tie.
Is there parking available at the wedding venues?
Limited parking is available at the traditional wedding venue since it is a personal residence so guests will need to find street parking outside the gate. For the white wedding ceremony at Labadi Beach Hotel, parking is available on-site.
Do I need a visa to travel to Ghana?
Yes, visitors from the U.S. and many other countries will need an entry visa. It's best to apply for your visa early to avoid any delays. For more information, visit here.
What travel documents do I need?
Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Ghana. To get a yellow fever vaccine certificate, visit your healthcare provider or a travel clinic near you. After receiving the vaccine, you'll be given an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP), often called the "Yellow Card." This certificate serves as proof of vaccination and is required for entry into Ghana.
What is the best way to get around Accra?
Ride-hailing apps like Uber, Bolt, and Yango are widely used. It’s a good idea to download these apps before arriving. Keep in mind that most drivers prefer cash payments.
Where should I stay in Accra?
There are many great accommodation options, including Labadi Beach Hotel, where the wedding will be held. Other options include Accra Marriott Hotel, Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra, Kwarleyz Residence Accra and various Airbnbs in Osu, Cantonments, and East Legon.
